On Monday 18th March, a group of students from Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 went exploring the Opal Coast. They immersed themselves in French culture with a visit to a chocolate factory where they learnt about the process of making chocolate: from the bean to the barre.
The sun showed up throughout our stay and allowed all of us to dip our feet into the water and get some vitamin sea! We also visited Nausicaa which is the largest aquarium in Europe: watching the sharks being fed was quite impressive and a once in a lifetime opportunity.
All of our students explored the old town of Boulogne sur Mer where they bought many souvenirs from the locals. They also had time for some ice cream and a pain au chocolat, which they learnt how to make at the village bakery with Bruno. Merci beaucoup et à bientôt la France!
