At St George’s, PSHE aims to support young people in developing the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and skills to live healthy, safe and fulfilling lives, both now and in the future. We strive to empower our students to make informed decisions, develop positive relationships and thrive in an ever-changing world

Through PSHE education, we address a wide range of topics including physical and mental health, relationships and sex education, online safety, financial literacy and careers guidance. By teaching these subjects effectively, we not only promote the well-being of our students but also help them to achieve their academic potential.

Our dedicated, bespoke PSHE curriculum ensures that our students are equipped with the essential life skills and resilience needed to navigate the challenges of modern society. We believe that by fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment, we can empower our students to become responsible, confident and compassionate individuals.

Across our whole cohort, PSHE follows three key themes: Health & Wellbeing, Living in the Wider World and Relationships. These themes and their corresponding topics are communicated to parents at the start of each half term, along with useful links to support parents in continuing discussions at home. We invite parents to engage with our PSHE programme and work together with us to support the holistic development of our students.
