GCSE Options
At St George’s, the Options Process is centred around our students and we strive to build our curriculum around each unique cohort.
Students choose their Options Subjects at the end of Year 8 and begin their Key Stage 4 pathway in Year 9. This three-year focus on GCSE (or equivalent) learning allows students to immerse themselves in content and topics alongside providing maximum time for revision and consolidation. Students also have the opportunity to sit their English and Mathematics qualifications in Year 10 and this structure enables our students to flourish each year. Our results speak for themselves.

We encourage students to speak to their teachers about their thoughts and aspirations and finally we offer an Options Evening where subject staff will be available to meet with students and their parents to finalise their choices.
