Curriculum
Key Stage 3
In Years 7 and 8 students will be introduced to the key skills that are developed for choosing History as an option. Topics are chosen to give students a broad subject knowledge of a range of key learning areas in each subject. A variety of methods will be used to assess students through each key topic.
At the end of Year 8, students can choose to carry on with History as a GCSE option.
Key Stage 4
Key Stage 4 runs through Years 9, 10 and 11.
In Years 9-11 students will be prepared and will focus on the topics and skills required for the examinations which will take place in the summer of Year 11. Regular assessment and the development of examination skills will take place throughout the course, and students will receive targeted feedback so that they know how to improve.

Key Stage 5
Key Stage 5 runs through Years 12 and 13.
In Years 12 and 13 students develop skills in History that are very transferable and desirable post-18, including communication of findings, the ability to analyse and evaluate, and the confidence to make substantiated judgements.
