  • This year, pupils will conclude their Portfolio project using the theme ‘Order and Disorder’ during the Autumn term. They will start their Set Task Exam paper in January of next term.
  • Pupils will continue to carry out a mixture of sketchbook-led and practical-led lessons; practical lessons taking place every fortnight during a double lesson.
  • Location photoshoots
  • Students will complete their ‘Final Piece’ for this project during their Mock Exam in November.
  • This project is worth 60% of their overall grade.

  • In the Spring term, students will receive the externally set task paper set by OCR.
  • This set task paper will house five starting points which are introduced to them along with suggestive photographers and techniques. Students can also find their own on art2day.co.uk
  • Students will then create a second sketchbook inspired by their chosen starting point. The Final Piece will be completed in the 10-hour set period in the summer term.

By this point in the academic year, we have completed the course content and we are focusing on revision, exam technique and pace.

Subject Overview:

Students in Year 11 have 3 Photography lessons each week.

In Year 11, students have 1 piece of homework set every week.

Assessments:

Students will finish their digital portfolio during this year.

In the Autumn Term, students sit a 10 hour mock practical exam.

Students will then sit their final exam in the Summer Term. This exam is a 10 hour practical exam.
